Rajinder is a distinguished leader in the world of Public Sector Consulting, specializing in Water, Power, and Infrastructure Development. Over 40 years, he has worked closely with governments, bilateral and multilateral agencies, developers, and service providers and delivered more than 1000 consultancy and engineering projects in India and 55 foreign countries.
He successfully served as the Chairman-cum-Managing Director of WAPCOS and its subsidiary NPCC, a “MINI RATNA” Public Sector Enterprise under the Ministry of Jal Shakti, Government of India, between 2009-2020. Under his leadership, WAPCOS delivered 1300% growth in turnover, 900% growth in profitability, and close to 800% surge in net worth.
In 2021, Rajinder founded Vibgyor Marvels, a consortium across multiple sectors, disciplines and geographies, to help businesses create more sustainable strategies and services. He advises clients on how to adapt and grow more effectively and more responsibly, combining his experience with insights from a diverse network of experts and other strategic tools.
Rajinder continues to serve as a trusted advisor to several eminent government organizations, such as India Water Partnership (IWP), Indian Water Resources Society (IWRS) and NABARD Consultancy Services (NABCONS). He also coaches CXOs and budding entrepreneurs on how to take their business or career to the next level.
Through his four-decade long journey, Rajinder has been conferred with some of the highest honors in the industry, including the SCOPE Award for Excellence & Outstanding Contribution to Public Sector Management from the President of India, Best CMD of the Year 2020 at the PSE Conclave, and the Lifetime Achievement Award endorsed by Water Digest.
